A call from the past is about the intended oblivion of the past. It is a self-initiated interactive Arduino project using radio signals, a used table clock, and a telephone. We are living in a world that exists as an extension of the past. Events happening in current society are actually triggered by preceding times. However, we often act as if the present has no relation with the past and deny it sometimes. The RF signal transmitted from the book makes the clock and telephone work. When the user using the phone moves far from the signal, the call and clock stop. The signal is still transmitting, but the distance between the book and the user blocks the connection. The RF signal shows the conjunctive relationship that present and past can not break up. The disconnection by physical distance represents the current era of forgetting the past.
